Hey my amp finally died tonight. What a loss, a crate 10 watt practice amp. Anyway, I'm in need of a new amp for under $400 for classic and more modern rock. I want to be able to get a dirty kind of overdrive like zeppelin and i have an o.d. pedal already. what would be best for that for under $400? thanks, and i promise this is the last one ill make about it haha, i just havent gotten any real answers

How about a fender blues junior and a tubescreamer, should last forever, and be great for all the tones you listed.

EDIT: Didn't see that you already had an OD, but yeah, Blues Junior.

I got my Fender Hot Rod on eBay for 380, plus shipping. Its all tube, good overdive for Zeppelin, classic stuff, and a great clean channel for pedals, 112 40 watts. It would be great for what you have described.

I second this, I played this amp and it some awsome clean/ slightly overdrivan tones. But with the OD pedal you will be able to get some awesome classic rock tones out of this. Don't expect to get a metal sound out of this because you won't. All tube is the way to go!

You can get a solid state and buy the EHX English Muff'n. Only thing bad about that is that the pedal will suck when your playing with a tube amp. Buying an amp from eBay is a good idea believe it or not. I suggest getting the Hot Rod DeVille off there (they go really cheap there) or a Blues Junior.

Sir, twas but a joke.

Maybe instead of an amp, you should get a sense of humour.
