first song i've written myself, it's about the school shooting that happened in Canada a few weeks ago.

stalking your prey, day after day
the people inside mearly props for your play
spare them their lives, don't go inside
you won't even give them their say

the people were out of the loop
all knowledge unknown to the group
wondering why they had to die
"please, stop, don't shoot"

Chorus:
the suffering of juliet
caused the death of romeo
no one else was harmed in the making of this film, yet
you choose to take these peoples lives just because they show
their beliefs, their ways, their rights.

this is not the answer, quit while you're ahead
one bullet to the head
your time's not up, but your off the stage
the audience steps back, in a daze

there's still time to make this right
there's no need to end with fight
what's this? put it down don't make us fire
you made your choice, you can go no higher

Chorus:
the suffering of juliet
caused the death of romeo
no one else was harmed in the making of this film, yet
you choose to take these peoples lives just because they show
their vote, their views, their voice.

you thought you couldn't cope
life gone from you you had no hope
but if you cud see whats left behind
maybe then would you rewind

hey,

i liked this. the analogy of a play/film to the events was interesting, for me it is personalizing the song, giving it a reality beyond just a news story.

the suffering of juliet
caused the death of romeo

i'm sorry but i didn't feel this line, and found it a bit lacklustre, sorry if that is an important line to you, as it is the title, maybe you could rethink it. besides its just how i see it.

otherwise this is an exellent attempt
