Hey. I'm starting to learn a bit of theory, so, naturally, I'm starting with scales. I know the Major/Minor Pentatonic patterns and I know the regular (natural?) Major and Minor patterns. What I really want to know is the different patterns of different types of scales in terms of steps (Ex: Major=WWHWWWH, Minor=WHWWHWW) Could someone hook me up with some of those?

Man, just take your major formula and move on to the next step in that formula and you will have the next scale....look....

Major: WWHWWWH

Dorian: WHWWWHW

And so on. Do you see what is happening, we are simply moving along to the next interval and using that as our starting point...easy!

Ooooh...so you leave the Halfs evenly spaced (with 3 Wholes between) and just keep rotating them one note until you have all the scales???
