is it bad to use a slide on an electric guitar? will its scratch up the body?

Why wouldn't you use a slide on electric? Actually, if you're afraid of using one on electric, why not on acoustic?

It's perfetly find to use a slide on an electric, but I ask you, how would it damage your body? We are talking about the slide that goes on your fingers and you use on the strings, right?

it wont damage anything as long as you dont press to hard because then over time it might damage the frets. i use slide on electric all the time
