I play metal. Looking for just the bridge pick up. Any one suggest a Dimarzio tone zone 7??

I'd say look into the PAF 7's, Blaze Series, and the X2N 7's from DiMarzio, if not look into an EMG 81-7 or an EMG 707.

EMG 707's ?? i thought EMG's in basswood is no good? I play through a Valveking also.

my budget is around 70 american. what what does that even mean? a dark sounding amp..

id have to agree with the 81-7s
got one in my ibanez universe, its basswood. and it sounds killer
with active pups it doesnt matter that much on the wood of the guitar, because the pups preamp it what does most of the "talking". the crunch is unbelievable. and its so much clearer and defined than a passive. the clean sound is a little cold, but i actually like that sound, so clear and sparkly.

granted the EMGs sound good, but if he's keeping his neck pup, wiring active and passive ones together can be a beast.
Clapton is God .... but Vai's pretty close

try to find a 7 string d sonic, but the tone zone is a ace pickup
if you'd believe me i'd tell you everything
