my js1000's edge pro trem isn't holding up its tuning anymore.. it was kinda ok when i got it like a month ago, but after a few string changes, i've had to tune it pretty much after every song i play, and that really sucks..
i don't know why this is happening, i tightened the nut properly, stretched out the strings throughly before locking the nut, the bridge saddles are tight too...
sometimes, the pitch of all the strings is high, and sometimes its all low... its not like its veering towards one direction....
i took all the precautions people basically told me to take..
can someone tell me what else i can do to fix this??
thanks a lot in advance

Maybe you should just eliminate the idea of being a LEAD guitarist or a RHYTHM guitarist and just come to terms with being a guitarist.

Sounds like an unbalanced bridge to me. That happens a lot with this floating bridges. Try this:

- Unclamp the locking nut.
- set all the fine tuners to the half-way position.
- tune each string with a tuner starting at the low E string.
- if by the time you are done with your high E string all the other ones seem to be sharp loosen you bridge screws located on the back of the guitar.
- if in the other hand they are flat, do the opposite
- clamp it back and you should be good to go.

Also make sure that if they are new strings the are well stretch before you lock it down.

Hope that helps.

Try a different brand of strings?? And don't stretch them, I never stretch mine and I don't get problems. Heres what I do:

- Take snaped string off
- Put new one on
- Tune
- Play

Next day : Tune again

That's what it sounds like.

How old is the guitar? Is it used?
I will show you something different from either
Your shadow in the morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you
I will show you fear in a handful of dust
