Niether sounds better, it's a preference. I prefer SGs over LPs.

see phil i never got that, i mean sure the sg's neck is open due to the cut away but ive never had a problem getting to any fret with any finger on my les paul

maybe i just have freakishly large hands but .... i doubt it lol

cos of the upper cut (on the SG) the hand is able to slide up further more making it more comfortable to the user i mean with my Eclipse i pretty much can get up to the 20th fret easily but any further and im struggling

No you don't.

Or, you might have, but its not coz you find it easy to reach the upper frets on a les paul. I know for a fact that i have entirely average-sized hands, and i find it easier to reach the upper frets on my les paul than on my fender strat.

Edit: And will people please stop whining about the upper fret access on the les paul???!! I mean, its about what you're ****ing used to. What about getting THAT into your thick skulls?!

Well i like both, but the LP is the way to go. You should now considering you have a '59 LP, shouldnt you???
