ok so now i have a peavey tko115
im always maxing out--all the time
and its pissing me off and it sucks
its most likely blown... so i need a
new amp... this peice is only 75 watts
what the hell... it was ok with my
passive bass but i think my new bass
killed it.. heh
so i was looking at ashdown
MAG 300H head http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=112
and MAG 410T Deep Cabinet
it looks pretty damn sweet and
im willing to spend about $600
but i dont kno what it sounds like
and there are no dealers in Nebraska
so i would have to go to colorado just
to try one out---LAME

so i looked at ampeg and
they are sooo heavy and
more watts then i need and
more money that i want to
spend

so what do you think i should
get...im looking at SWR now
and im gonna look at messa

i want a 410 for shure

oh and what are ohms
its always 4 or 8
what does that mean

sorry its so long

I own the Mag 300 Head and 410 Deep cab and I love them both. They sound great, the head has plenty of power, the cab handles it well putting out a good punchy sound while still being deep, so deep in fact I'm going to get a 2x10 cab instead of a 1x15 because I feel the 4x10's already putting out enough bass. They're both awesome deals.

SWR and Mesa are usually more costly then Ashdown, the reason being, they're higher quality gear. But if you have a limited budget I would definetly get the Ashdown rig.

I got the head from Musiciansfriend and the cab from Music123.

Why?

Because the head was out of stock at M123 and there was an additional weight fee to ship the cab with MF.

Head=4 ohms
Cab=8 ohms

another reason I want another cab, to make the ohmage equal

Ohms are the resistance, it's something with electronics, I'm not sure what exactly.
