Jealousy

Can't you see that I can't see?
My eyes are clouded with my own envy.
I only want what's best for me.
Whatever suits my jealousy.

I don't care that he says he loves you,
'Cause I know it's a two-faced lie.
I don't care about the good he brings you.
I just want you to say goodbye.

Can't you see that he's bad for you?
He's doing just what I said he'd do.
He treats you bad and he leaves you so sad.
He's driving me crazy 'cause he makes me so mad.

Can't you see that I can't see?
My eyes are clouded with my own envy.
I only want what's best for me.
Whatever suits my jealousy.

I know I myself am far from perfect,
But I know that he's farther than me.
You'll listen up if you know what's best for you.
You should just stand up and leave.

I didn't like him even from the start.
But what can you expect from a man with no heart?
You wouldn't believe the lengths I go to
To let you know that I love you.

Can't you see that I can't see?
My eyes are clouded with my own envy.
I only want what's best for me.
Whatever suits my jealousy.

RED WORDS= Omit

I know myself Im far from perfect,
But I know that he's less than me.
You'll listen up if you know what's best.
You should just stand up and leave.
=suggested change

I= personally I would change to I'd

tell me what you think

Appreciate the suggestion, but changing those words messes up the rhythm of the melody. Grammatically, they are superfluous words, but musically they're necessary, unless I re-work the whole rhythm, but I like it as is.
Same with rewriting that verse you highlighted.
The "I" to "I'd" I don't like, because it makes the "things" hypothetical. I want to say that the "I" is already doing those things.
