so does that mean that on my guitar thats what the strings are...ie: the string nearer my leg is A E and the strings near my head are BE

OR

is it the opposite
because i got told it was upside down ^o)

so its confusing me

The strings near your leg are EB, while the strings on the top of the guitar are EA

it goes from the thinest string (highest pitch) to the thickest string (lowest pitch)

whats the point in putting it upside down, thats confusing lol.

because the lower the note the lower on the scale it is.....it's just harder to see cause it's some made "tab" diagram to help you read the music easier
