I recently saw this film, and it revealed alot of truths about wal-mart and what it is doing to our country, and our communties. You can easily download it using torrents, but whatever you do, go to the above website and read if you never see the film.

we already know Wal-mart is evil, i dont need to pay 13 dollars for a movie to tell me that...they rape little children and then make them work..and hire mentally challenged to greet you as you walk in the door...wal-mart is, in many african dialects, the word for evil..duh
I dont know anything...
#4
Wal-Mart is indeed evil. The evilest thing of all is that they only have "clean" music. What the f*ck?
That's actually not the evilest thing, but it still sucks. Wal-Mart=bad for everyone.
#5
Dude, why watch the movie? Just watch the South Park and Family Guy episode, it's probably the same message.

And no matter how against it you are, most of the time, it's the only store you can get stuff at. No matter how corrupt, or whatever, they've always got the better deals, and they have everything, you're not going to win.

I don't get why Wal-Mart is evil. Sure they're a monopoly and put everyone out of business, but isn't that a good thing?

One time when I was purchasing 5 gallons of maple syrup for $2. The walls surrounding the merchandise started bleeding.

I got scared and bought as many cheap items I could that day.

I hope that's sarcasm. Wal-Mart isn't a monopoly, with stores like K-Mart and Target still exist. And If Wal-Mart were a monopoly, that would be a horrible thing. They wouldn't have to worry about competition, so they wouldn't need low prices.

Are you being sarcastic?

No, it's not. Wal-Marts ARE killing everything else out. The little guy will have no say soon. I mean, sure Kroger, Publix, Target, all that won't die, but your hometown groceries, newstands, all those are the targets.

I swear, the big guy is getting TOO big.

I once went to a Wal-Mart when I was like 11 and i was putting this free paper thing in my pocket in the toy aisle and this one girl (who wasnt in a uniform who worked there but stalked people just to see if they stole stuff) told the manager and he was all serious and confronting me. So I showed him the free thing and that made them look like jerks. He said sorry to me the next couple times I went there it was hilarious and retarded!

No.
Wal-Mart gets products made by children in third world countries who work 16 hours a day for pennies. Wal-Mart treats their employees terribly-low wage, no benefits/healthcare. Sure, Wal-Mart is cool when you look at the prices, but if you think about why the prices are so low, you'll realize they suck.
Wal-Mart exploits poorer people to make money for themselves. That's not cool...
But that's capitalism for ya...

Well, it's true. I'm not saying I shop at Wal-Mart all the time. I prefer Target, Best Buy, The Mall, Circuit City, Kroger, but we buy groceries at Wal-Mart cause it's cheaper, and we're tight on money.

And for the common man, it's true, they want good deals and convenience, why do you think Wal-Mart i popular? Convenience and deals. When I get a job and a car and such, I won't shop there hardly, but I'll still roam in for little things. They suck for electronics, games, CDs, all that. I hate Wal-Mart, but it's our only option for groceries, my mom doesn't even buy EVERYTHING from there.

I am smart, I just have no choice.

When Wal-Mart expanded into Goodland (a city near my hometown), Goodland lost three pharmacies, two grocery stores, and one other business (can't remember what it did at the moment). I think it could well be getting too big.

My Wal-Mart won't even sell American Idiot. How dumb is that?

Wal-Mart is the only grocery store in my town anymore, since we got a super-walmart(with even LOWER prices) the H-E-B went out of business, and the Brookshire Bros. will leave as soon as it's lease is up. I don't know if this has anything to do with Wal-Mart, but Taco Bell left too, and it's startin to piss me off.
Would you die for Dethklok? I know I would. PM me... If you've got the balls.

Bill gates gace 58% of his income to charity, the walton family: 6,000 dollars. Walmart employees have an option on their paycheck that gives a certain amount of THEIR money to charities and guess how much they gave: 5 million dollars.

no, because they employ unethical (and possibly illegal) business practices, treat thier employees like shit, and ofer low quality merchandise thats nowhere near as good as what a lot of other places sell, oh and they edit all of thier CDs, which is just wrong.

hot topic is owned by gap, if you didn't know. so if you don't like preps and you shop at hot topic, you are buying from a prep store. plus, band tee's cost like, 20 bucks each there. i could go to headstone and get one. (locally owned music store that has cheap cd's, rock and metal, $7 each, they also sell dvd's, incence(sp), records, and posters. they have band tee's for 5 bucks each. that store is really awesome.)

walmart got th where it is today by having the best prices. maybe if small buisnesses did that, then they could get big. i like walmart, even though they only have what i want 1/4 of the time.

We had a local grocery store go out of business (well, "combine" with another) recently because WalMart built a damn Super Center right across from it. The place had really low prices too, but Walmart roughly matched them (the other place was still cheaper though), but because of convenience they just couldn't compete. Now there's a ****ty ass, extremely overpriced Homeland and a store where mostly old folks shop at, that is also overpriced. This means that Walmart will pretty much pwn the hell out of them before too long, and then start jacking their prices up and f*cking everyone over.
Hell, Walmart will soon be one of the the few places to work at around here since we've lost a couple factories. Yay for everyone here making minimum wage!
