and their slippery as ****! My fingers slipped off many times but the notes still rang out clearly enough. Is this a sign that I had been using incorrect fingering technique all along? Maybe I'm not arching my fingers enough ? I'm not really sure since I'm self taught...

Maybe the strings will rather help me get more accurate ?

I always buy Elixir strings and i love the slippery no rust feature (As I often sweat while pleaying and the rusty texture irritates me beyond hell) And i love the tone of ths strings

did you get the nano web ones? if not, try those. there's less coating on them so they aren't quite as slippery.

I've had the tiny ones in my mouth and accidentally swallowed a bit of the liquid, you should be all right.

I got the polyweb couatings. i haven't changed strings on my acoustic for about 3 months before I put the Elixir's on.

Not sure how good D'addario strings are, but they were the normal ones (Light) and I play a few hours a day.

I guess my fingering accuracy really sucks since my fingers slip off.

i love my nanowebs, but the guy at the guitar store talked me into paying a dollar more for the new bronze phosphor nanowebs and they sound amazing. the only bad thing about the nanoweb string are that they cost a lot.

I've been using elixirs for about 9 months now and they really do rock - sweet, sweet music. Give them a few weeks to bed in and they'll be fine.
