Supposedly on the 10th anniversary in February, but who knows now that's passed.

Wikipedia - Spiral Stairs said, in a recent interview with Pitchfork Media, that they will be making a 2CD re-release of Brighten the Corners that will probably be released in 2007, on its 10th anniversary. However, it has now passed said date and is expected mid to late this year.

maybe they couldn't find enough bonus outtakes or something.

It's Pavement, there's bonus outtakes, songs, and everything else available.

The Wow-Out? Yeah it's been a while. I got the vinyl, but never the free concert .

I never did that because I didn't (and still don't) like Wowee Zowee as much as their earlier albums. I was totally foolish.

What's the Wow-Out? Was it some sort of promotional campaign for Wowee Zowee?

If you pre-ordered the re-issue Sordid Sentinels edition you got a free 7", a free poster and a code to download a concert.

around the time they announced that they were putting out a reissue of crooked rain, malkmus said they had enough material to do keep putting them out up to brighten the corners. and my guess is fall of 2008 since the slanted one came out in fall of 02, crooked rain- fall of 04, and wowee- the fall of 06. but that's my guess.

Aren't there repeat bonus tracks on Slanted and Wowee? I don't have the Wowee Zowee Deluxe edition, so I'm not too sure.

man, reading over that, it's hard to make sense of anything i said. but no, i don't think there are any repeat tracks, or none i can think of anyway. i think there might be the same song on two of the three reissues, but they're different versions recorded at different periods.

or if you mean the same track on one album, like with slanted- then it's either a remix, or a live version.

I won't be heart broken if the reissue doesn't come out for a while.
Brighten is probably my least favorite Pavement album.

It's my second least favourite after Terror Twilight.

I generally rank their albums in the order they were released.

Likewise, Slanted is the best, followed by Westing, then Crooked Rain etc etc.

nothing wrong with terror twilight...
Aside from the fact that it's ****, I agree.

It's a Pavement record so I own it, and will cherish it, but I don't particularly like it.

I still love Terror Twilight and Brighten the Corners just not as much as the first three albums. I would hardly call it shit.

The bonus tracks are some b-sides and the second disc holds some outtakes and alternative recordings. Oh and it has Soul Food

Chef Gordon Ramsay? He's on Hell's Kitchen here in the States. I had no idea he had shows abroad.
#198
ya he does like overhauls of restaurants in the british realm/part/scotland before too. it's usually the chefs he works with. bollocks references and copious amounts of profanity ensue and the restaurant is back in the right track.
