Well, I was fiddling around and this came out. I guess it could be like a folk metal guitar duet thing. I don't know yet. But, comments/suggestions would be nice. =]

For more, how about, on that last little bass riff change it to repeat five times, on the guitar have a 4 measure rest then come in with

E|----------------|-----------------|----------------|-----------------|
B|----------------|-----------------|----------------|-----------------|
G|----------------|-----------------|----------------|-----------------|
D|------9-9-------|------7-7--------|------9-9-------|------7-7--------|
A|7-777-----7-777-|5-555-----5-55-5-|7-777-----7-777-|5-555-----5-55-5-|
E|----------------|-----------------|----------------|-----------------|

An repeat it then add more, im no guitarist lol

I like it, its got a nice feel to it

I think the harmonizing is fine. I liked it. I'd just like to see adding more guitar parts and making it more complex. If you've ever heard the bridge section to "Miracles out of Nowhere" by Kansas, that's what I kind of hear should come next.

Ok, been working on it some more. Took some of stolenidentity's advice for that guitar riff. Made that the verse. Added a chorus and I'm in progress of guitar solos.

Sooo, yeah. Check it out.

Pretty much finished. Any suggestions comments on the final draft would be really nice. If you have an idea on how to make this any better, please don't hesitate to suggest it. I'd really appreciate it.

But, details on this version..

I changed up the 2nd solo. It was gonna end up being really hard to play, so I made it a little simpler. I added a verse 2 and an interlude. There's also a slightly changed outro chorus and an outro.

that was excellent. the 2nd solo flowed so well into the chorus. im not sure about the ending though. but that might just be p-tab making it sound sketchy.

overall 9.5/10

edit: you should probably say something in the first post about the finished version, because most people don't scroll all through the posts beforehand.

Yeah, it sounds fine on guitar. It's just the MIDI playback of tremelo picking sounds like sh1t.

i like the intro and the harmonization.. but i i dont think you should be so repetitive. instead of playing that on the 7th, then moving down to 5th, then 7th, then back to the 5th, instead of going back to the 5th and repeating the same style try like a descending scaled starting from like the b string. i love the little bass line. good and simple first solo. the second solo is nice but some of the scales are objectionable, but it still sounds nice. good job man.

That was awesome. The pre-verse, verse and chorus sounded very Iron Maideny, as nearly everything with harmonising guitars and gallop rhythms does, and also very Ensiferummy at the verse and intro. The solo was awesome, and yeah, it was just an all-round good song.

I don't think it's very folky, but that's not a problem; I think it sounds pretty sweet. The only thing I didn't like is the 19th fret high e that you hit on the solo doesn't sound good to me. And I think you could come up with a better ending, but that's about it. Good work man, 8/10

Like MadMudgeN said, it doesn't seem very folky, but that's still a crazy riff. The intro should have the harmonization come in earlier, but it still sounds good. I really like the part at 52 seconds, sounds like a galloping, power infused riff of rock n roll. (Very descriptive there lol). The solo is nuts, can't see anything wrong with it. Repeating for a while... I don't like the riff at 2:15 ish, just sounds weird. But maybe that's just the MIDI soundin bad. The slow part near the end is pretty cool, but p-tab and MIDI screwed the tremolo picking at the end, but for the rest of the song, it doesn't seem as good as the rest of the song. Maybe have that riff at 1:53 with one guitar doing a high note solo version of that, then end with a huge, dramatic final chord or something.

Overall, 8/10. Really good, but has room for improvement. And thx for critting meh song.
