Has anyone heard it? I am a huge fan of O; it's a fantastic album. Is 9 just as good? Worse? Better?

I really enjoy the new one. I don't think all the songs are as good as ones on 'O', but then I'd say a couple are better, a bit more powerful.
Overall its probably not quite as good as 'O' was, but then that was an amazing album, but I think you'd appreciate it.

I've been considering this for a bit as well, actually. I bought 'O' but only listened to it very, very occasionally and even now I can't remember any of the songs on it apart from the singles. But I heard something that sounded very much like him on the radio today, and it was quite good.

I reckon 'O' is better than '9', although '9' is still a good album. Personally, I like 'B-sides' the best (mainly because it has 'The Professor & La Fille Danse' on it), but I highly recommend all three.

9 had some incredible songs on it (9 crimes, Elephant, Accidental Babies, Coconut Skins) but also had a few terrible ones ( i.e. Me, my Yoke and I). Overall, 0 fit together much more strongly as an album. The B-Sides of O are brilliant, especially The Professor, but also the 97 demo version of Volcano. Also try to find the b-sides of 9, which includes Rat Witihin the Grain which is probably one of his best songs ever.

Ah no way, that's one of the best on the album!

Yer 'Me, My Yoke and I' is bloody amazing! Although it is very 'Woman Like a Man'-esque (if anyone doesn't know, that's on 'B-Sides').

I think O is better, but I love 'em both. O has more of a listenability factor. DOn't get me wrong, 9 is great and I've listened to it all day before, but there';s something O has which 9 doesn't...

That said, 9 Crimes is probably one of the most beautiful songs ever, IMO.
