Gilbert really doesn't sweep a lot if at all. He is an adept string-skipper.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

Didn't he used to sweep, in Street Lethal era, and then switched to string skipping?
I have nothing to put in here.

I think with PG he just practices so much that he makes it look natural, a lot more people would be better guitarists if they followed his lead.

There's sweeping in Scarafied, right after the intro.

The album version yeah, but now he plays a string skipping version instead.

The first song on his solo album 'get out of my yard' (i cant remember the name) has an intense sweeping intro. Some of the best sweeps i've heard him do. And also like some said in the song snakebite.

That's string skipping... Not sweeping. It's also with a human capo (!) and a guitar with three strings tuned to E in octaves.

He can string skip and shred so fast he doesn't need to sweep. He jus looks at the tar and it plays faster than any other guitarist around.

Paul Gilbert doesn't talk to me via making silly voices and moving the face of a Halloween mask. Another winning point of his is that he isn't batshit insane.

and now the question that will get a freakin bajllion and a half answers

what are some racer x songs/get out of my yard songs that have string skipping in them, name songs and where the good stuff is, i really REALLY need to work on string skipping, so try to give me stuff that wont make me die the first time i try it
