that means u drag the pick across the strings instead of picking the strings seperately (i think)

Its same thing as sweep picking. If you're not sure how to do that, theres plenty of great lessons for it floating around.

It depends on who wrote the tab. Best thing to do is to listen to the song. See if it sounds like sweep picking or if it is actually a pick slide or, just to mess with you, it could be something completely different.

Yep but most people i talked to about it when i was first doing it said it was sweeping.
