Would love to come, but I live too far away. Bloody Tasmania.
I do like the Pixies though...

Reaaally old news but good all the same.

I'm holding out for the Pixies to add some sideshows to the V-Fest and come around these parts, otherwise it looks like it'll be off to Sydney with me.

They played Coachella the year before last, or the year before that.

Anyone see the documentary Loud Quiet Loud? It was only playing in select theaters on very specific days. I was surprised that only ten or so people were there for the one showing in Tucson. It was pretty good. It was all about them getting back together.

Not to make this a Coachella thread, but the line up for Coachella last year just sucked. Lets hope they can pull it out of the gutter. How can you go from Radiohead, Flaminglips, and Pixies headlining to Madonna. Thats just lame.

I love the song Ray of Light...

It didn't suck though. Sigur Ros, Deerhoof, Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mogwai, Sleater-Kinney, Wolf Parade, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, TV on the Radio, My Morning Jacket, Cat Power, Devendra Banhart (who I missed )...

It was a pretty good if you ask me.

On that note, I saw Sonic Youth (for a MUCH cheaper price than paying to see them and Madonna [$20]). It was a great show. I was right up front in the middle. There was a mini fire on one of the monitors and they played right through it. They didn't play Diamond Sea, and I was a little bummed, but they still got it.
