but i think his was the 35R

now theres another amp i could get
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/prod...-Amp?sku=482798
10 watt but its a marshall and being a marshall, better quality

i dont really care for the overdrives becasue i already have a distortion pedal

so what should i do, i can get the marshall locally for 90 or the fender from my friend 90 or lower since he doesnt even play, just got a starter fender kit and never started at all.

also, i know theyre not great or even that good, i just need something for home practice considering ... im at home.

The links arent working for me. But Im guessing youre talking about the MG and some other cruddy little Fender amp.

I suggest not thinking about either, and going for either a Roland Cube series amp or a Vox Valvetronix amp.

Well, first of all, if it's a Marshall, it doesn't mean it has better quality. Trust me, a Marshall for $90 is shit. Same with the Fender. Look at a Vox Valvetronix or a Roland Micro Cube.

For the price, that is the best amp on the market*. No questions about that.

*Disclaimer:
This does not include the Epi VJ, or used amps. This is only referring to practice amps as well as bang for your buck.

Agreed.

But he can get the VJ Combo if he saves up a bit.

Yeah he could. But this kid knows not the advantages of tube amps Im sure and itd be pointless for him to have something like a VJ. He needs something with a lot of versitality and ease of use.
