I'm in the market for a new practice amp, and I need a little help deciding. Price range is under 150 usd, but preferrably closer to 100. I've narrowed it down to these.

Line 6 Spider III 15

Roland Cube 20

Vox Pathfinder 15

I play rock music, on the more metal side of the spectrum. I also like other types though including punk and softer rock, so I'm looking for something that's flexible. Thanks for the help.

Cube if its mostly metal, vox if its mostly rock. Wait for some other people to post because im not sure if thats the best vox for the price.

alright, dont get the spider. the cube is really good for metal.......the vox is pretty good too.

the cube is actually a metal amp, and the vox is more rock.

Why not the Spider? (spider 3) I've heard a lot of reccomendations from GC people that its the better one (over the cube). I'm not saying you guys are wrong or anything, I just would like to know your reasoning.

Spider sounds way too digital. At least the spider ii does. and on reviews, of course they will be good because the people who are reviewing it just got it and they are trying to be optomistic.

its hard to get a decent tone out of the spider. and most of the customer reviews on guitar center and musicians friend are from people who just bought the amp and are still
trying to convince themselves that its a good amp. idk. some people may like it, and some may not. its a matter of preference.
