Well, depends how much you move around, 10-15 feet will do just fine, and you should kick whoever told you to get that amp in the balls.

What is your price range and what kinda music you like?

I think so, Brain, but where would we buy rubber pants at this hour?

well this is gonna be my first guitar, so im just gonna get 6 feet on the cable i decided because i wont move around too much. for an amp, i would like to spend under 50 bucks which is why i picked out that amp, but i can definitely go higher if it means a longer lasting amp. and im probably going to play stuff like the who, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix once i start to learn.

1. However long you need it to be, 15 feet or so should be good.
2. Most likely.
3. You don't necessarily need them, but they can save you a lot, so if you have the extra money then yes, get strap locks.

Well, for a new amp, you really wanna go up to at least 100 bucks

Cube 15 << nice practice amp with good onboard distorion
Kustom Tube 12A << Highly reccomended, you'll really thank yourself later if you buy this tube amp, for just 100 bucks too!
