How would one go about fixing a corrupt .rar file? I've tried repairing the file, but that didn't work. Any advice?

After it finishes unzipping, do you get any files out of it? Or is it simply 1 file (e.g. and .iso) and you can't extract it?

It's happened to me before and depending on what kind of file it is, as vivalasoad883 said, you're SOL.

it depends though... the file that you downloaded could be currupted and you are just downloading currupt files...

Basically, you're SOL

i heard something once about a corrupt RAR decompiler, but Ive since forgotten

is it something you downloaded? redownload it?

I almost asked at the end of my post if I was just shit out of luck .

I'll try redownloading it. If that doesn't work, oh well.

You have to redownload the file. unless as Jeff Manthei says the file youre downloading might be corrupted in the first place.

Repair rar files is the main capacity for rar recovery software. The software is able to recover rar archives after power failures, viruses and other unexpected errors. The application can work with rar files various sizes, larger than 4GB.
