when i play alterbate picking, like shred, how do i keep it constant, with out gliching, how do i just play long patterns with out stopping, if you catch my drift
do not masturbate while picking.....

and practice... slowly with a metronome
Practice of course, as for long patterns the way I found works best for me, is to start at a HIGH speed, but only play the few first notes of the pattern - like 5-10 notes, repeat it several times, add a few notes to it, repeat the extended pattern several more times, add another couple notes, repeat, etc.

It's easier to memorize it that way for me, and it also really helps to build your consistency and endurance.
