OK, so I've been working on painting my stater guitar, and im working on the headstock now, but on the area by the truss rod, the paint wont stay and it leaves like little holes. Is there like a certain techinque or way of positioning the neck to make it come out right?

Cant really see properly, but im guessing maybes theres some sort of oil/ wax on the wood maybe thats making the paint not stick?

Yes, I sanded it.

lol, i hoped you did.

but i dont know, is the sand job smooth, what grit did you finish with,

the last guitar i modded i didnt have a very good selection of sandpaper so i did the last sand job (lol, oh duh ur, shut up!) with 100 grit and i had about the same results... the paint settled into little holes in the poorly sanded areas and it didnt finish well until about 500000 layers.

that paint job looks the suck anyways, I'd sand down and redo it.

And sometimes it will create pin holes like that when you paint it and set it next to a hot lamp, sometimes water under neat the coat of paint will evaportate and exit through those holes.
