OK I am going to attempt my first ever solo!

I would like it to be either Back in Black or You shook me all night long, both by AC/DC. So which would be better to start of on? In other words pretty much which one is easier.

Also does anyone have any tips for when I am attempting the solo?

Thanks very much.

you shook me was my second solo back like a year ago. its a good first one, since its basic pentatonic. just work on the bends and ALTERNATE PICKING!!!! practice with a metrenome. it is the only reason i am any good at guitar. you are nothing as a guitarist if you cant keep time. perfect the solo on the clean channel before going to distortion. thats about it goo luck!

You shook me all night long is easier.
Back in black has a lot of fast parts.
Just learn it one piece at a time, and master that certain piece, then move on.

Practice with a metronome if possible and work on your accuracy before speed.

first solo was the m.o.p solo as well (the first part)
all i can say is take it a step at a time, but never give up because you think it may be too hard, just keep trying or else you'll be stuck playing guitar for a few years not being able to play a decent solo.

Smells Like teen Spirit or Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana aren't very hard, but they might not be hard enough.

I am a little way through learning the solo very slow at this stage but not to worried. Should be good.
