im talking about that kinda fade in he does with the guitar in some songs. for example in the song "brothers in the arms"
he does like a fade in, but i checked and he doesn't manipulate the volume knob.
got any idea of how he does it?

He uses a Morley volume pedal- I can't remember where I read it but he says he uses it not only for volume swells, but also because it takes away a little of the high end from his strats. You could just use the volume pedal on your guitar, though- it'd have the same effect
