uh im not 100% sure, but i would recomend sticking w/ the products made to clean guitar ... other cleaning adgents may be to powerful and could ruin the finish

I wouldnt it can affect some finishes. an i dont know about you but I wouldnt take the gamble. not when there are specific products to do the job that aren't really too expensive.

i've used ordinary spray furniture polish (not that often) ever since reading that it is OK in Guitarist magazine. It hasn't done my strat or les paul any harm.
