is there any kind of product where you can hook it up to your headphone cord and extend the cord? like an extension cord or something. our durmmer wants to use headphones plugged into our mixer so he can hear us better and if there was a way to make the headphone cord longer, id like to do that instead of getting wireless headphones or monitors or something.

They make those. I have one myself. You could also go:
Headphones>1/8" to 1/4" adapter> instrument cable>1/4" to 1/8" adapter> mixer.
Kind of nominated for Best Retired User.

Look in electronic accesories section. Mine is coiled up like a telephone cord. They usually come in a pack with some adapters. Here's a pic of one:
