Oh wow thanks Ive seen this before but didnt know what it does hehe. I usually use my headphones when I play the guitar cuz the stupid amp is too loud. even at the lowest settings, so I use a headphones and adjust the volume on my headphones. I might get this one hehe.

Edit: do you have to use that headphones or can u plug in a different headphones? The box is what makes it work right? not the headphones

nice, good to know. Do you thinks this thing is worth it? It kinda makes your guitar versatile and playable anywhere you want to with less cable and stuff and not having to lug 200lbs of equipment to another room.
#11
yeah its fine for practice, but dont expect good tone out of it, the one i used to have usable (for practice and songwriting) distortion and an OK clean sound, and it is nice to be able to practice quietly. So yeah given the very low price id say its worth it.

hey with those boxes you can record your riffs straight to your computer via the sound cards mic in, or line in (if you have the plugs) crapp quality but you can do it.

Oh you need to keep the volume down on the box so it doesnt distort the mic/line in
but hey this is all the distortion/overdrive cct on ya amp does.

you can do that with a microphone and an XLR-1/4" cable too and it sounds way better.

true, but you can get a decent mic anf cable for like $30 and youd might as well uy that for recording. However you can run those headphone amps into a tape recorder for recording little riffs and stuff.

You would need a preamp or amp of somesort which brings me to the question... Could you plug headphones directly into a guitar with active pups like EMGs?

That little thing looks awesome. I wish I could go somewhere and actually try it out before I decide to buy it.

^ I just love that great art work.... My dad actually handmade a headphone jack from scratch... it was strange sitting there going off on the guitar and everyone staring at me because they couldn't hear what I was doing... Just some string noise LOL

Using headphones with an acoustic guitar is pretty pointless, don't you think? I mean, you can't mute the sound that's coming out of the sound hole anyway...

If I remember right, yes. I used to own a guitar with EMGs, I THINK I tried it... and I also remember the tone being horrible.

I tried it as well, I could barely hear anything.
