what pickups should i get to replace the kaka stock epiphone ones on my guitar to arrvie in a few weeks?it's an epi g400 (mahogany). i know they're crap, coz ive used the guitar many times before.

im looking for a really fat sound...not overly agressive.

brands i can get are gibson, dimarzio and seymour duncan

anything off www.thomann.de basically

any advice is accepted!!

cheers

Dimarzio Breed pair if you want fat and warm - they're the fattest, warmest pickups that Dimarzio do, and they work really well in mahogany.

i have one of those in my fat strat. they're too trebly and agressive.

Yup, the Duncan Distortion is pretty trebly - it'd work in a Les Paul as the guitar's naturally warmer, but it won't be particularly warm or fat.

It won't be as bad, but it still won't be warm which you said you were looking for, it'll cancel out some of the natural warmth of the mahogany. Seriously, get the Breeds...they do what you've asked for.
