This is a song I wrote in french. It's cute. Comments would be appreciated (for the people who speak it or not though you probably wouldn't understand it lol). Btw if you speak fluent french please give me grammar corrections. <33

[Translation:
My dear, switch on the light,
And press your cheek against my face.
The sun doesn't have to set.
I'll hold your hand and take away your pain.

Tonight, the world is warm.
As I fall deeper in love.
Tonight, the moon shines for you.

I will be the yours forever until my last breath.
Only to the view of your wide eyes.
The bedsheet slips past your nose and you can breathe for the first time.

Tonight, the world is warm.
As I fall deeper in love.
Tonight, the moon shines for you.

When you feel sad,
Remember you have my heart with you, always.]

Nothing glaringly wrong grammatically. You have some imperative commands that are not conjugated correctly (use tu/vous form endings, depending on formal/informal, singular/plural). Other than that it is pretty cute.

You're amazing

I think circular.parade is the only guy here who can actually speak fluent French.

Who the hell else would want to?
Oh, but no, to my point actually.. do you have an English translation you could edit in on the end or whatever? I don't know any French, but I wouldn't mind reading what it actually means.

edit - Oh, it appears somebody else speaks French here.. great.

yeah, i'm aware of that. I had trouble not because I don't know how but because which would be more appropriate seeing as it's for a lova. It would I guess be informal but personally I think it sounds much better in at least singing vous. What is your opinion on that?

Thanks a lot

ps. edited with an english translation. Though it sounds so plain and bland in english. Personally, it's much prettier in frenchyyy.

Using the vous form would be more appropriate then. I should have just told you they would use vous form anyway, as it obviously is a love song. So I say use vous.

edit2: nevermind that other shit I had here previously, everything is right.

Ooh la la! I love French songs. I don't speak French, but I can pronounce the words.

There's this band, Nous Non Plus, have you heard of them? They sing in French, and their songs are uber-catchy, and I've actually gotten to the point where I've memorized three of them word for word.

But anyway. It's really pretty. Both versions. "The bedsheet slips past your nose and you can breathe for the first time." I really like that line.
