Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Just a sus4 cord maybe?

"I heard there was a secret chord

You have to have the tonic involved. Tonic + 4th = dissonant but when played with the 5th is considered consonant. I dunno, just heard on wiki that a perfect fourth was/is considered dissonant? It might also be a reference to an augmented chord with the major and minor parts after words implying that you wuld raise or lower the 4th/5th half step.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Halleluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuujah.

That help?

if not then continue reading:

Your faith was strong but you needed proof,
you saw her bathing on the roof.
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you.
She tied you to a kitchen chair,
She broke your throne, she cut your hair.
And from your lips she drew their Hallelujahs.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Halleluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuujah.
Thus sayeth the Lord.

hey come on everybody

its referring to the Bible

David could play the harp and it very much pleased the Lord

in 1st Samuel 16 it says

17 So Saul said to his attendants, "Find someone who plays the harp well. Bring him to me."

18 One of the servants said, "I've seen someone who knows how to play the harp. He is a son of Jesse from Bethlehem. He's a brave man. He would make a good soldier. He's a good speaker. He's very handsome. And the Lord is with him."

19 Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse. He said, "Send me your son David, the one who takes care of your sheep."

does that help?

LOL
The fourth is a perfect interval, neither major nor minor, just like a perfect fifth.

Well, if david was from germany, this is how it might go, everyone sing along now, you know the words:

Ich hört' mal von einer geheimen Saite
Die David zupft' und den Herrn erfreute
Doch Musik ist dir schnuppe, was meinst du, na?

In jeglichem Wort
Unwichtig, was du hörtest dort
