I have started to learn standard notation as it helps alot with music theory and adds a string to my bow, as it were. I have some old books from which i am learning from however i would like something more indepth could you tell me off a good book to teach me standard notation and theory at the same timeif possible or just a free decent internet resource to show me how stnd notation works, i have the basic down e b g d a e , crescendo's and tone and accedentals are there any tips you could give me how to rember the stnd notation on the scores, and how can you tell if it is an b open rather than a b on the 12th fret or any where else on the fretboard?

Thanks in advance.

Try William Leavitt's Modern Method for Guitar.

Yes, it's a book series. It has three volumes + a separate volume for reading studies

I'd just start at volume one, though.
