So I was looking through the booklets in some of my rap CD cases and seeing who produced what beats andwhat samples they used... etc. Well, I noticed something I had never seen before on one of my Bone Thugs n Harmony albums- interpolation. As in "Interpolation from Song "x"". There were samples mentioned, so I figured it wasn't just anther word for "samples", so I looked it up on Wiki. Wikipedia gave me some bah on math which I couldn't be arse to read, but nothing on production. So I was wondering... what does that mean in that context?

Maybe it's when they sample a song but they re-record the music with their own keyboards and whatnot instead of samples in the classic sense.
