Preferences?

I could suggest you a good tube amp for classic/hard rock but you may be into nu-metal so...for the best, tell us what music you play.

If you're into classic rock and blues, I hear the Fender blues Junior is a great tube amp.

I bought the Ashdown Fallen Angel that Cal mentioned, and it sounds great, good cleans and great for blues, rock and metal
Guitars:
Fender MIM Telecaster
Epiphone SG Goth
Ibanez Soundgear Bass
Amps:
Ashdown Fallen Angel 60 DSP
Crate BT-50
#12
Crate V32 Palomino A-Class

I've played these quite a lot at shops around here. They're tone is orgasmic. Though I think they might be a fuzz out of your range...

Eh. I've played some of the Peavey Valvekings too and was impressed but not terribly.

If you buy used you can get better for cheaper, and tube amps in general last for ages without significant problems.

An immediate retube is recommended when buying used though.

Give 10 UGers a rope and ask them to pull. 4 will push, 1 will ask for buttsecks, 2 will tell you get an Ibanez and the last 3 will start complaining about Line6 Spiders.

Ampeg Reverberocket R212R! a little more cash but it'll be the best thing you've ever purchased.

Get the 60 watt b52 and replace the speaker with some eminence speakers which should total around 55o. This si the best amp for the price and is listed at 1100 but since its a new company, they can't get away with selling their amps for as much as fender does even though the quality of a b52 is way higher then a fender.

I play blues, classic Rock, jazz etc. Good stuff!

Hell yeah sell that, you can get such a better tone with a tube amp. And that just more money to go towards it.
