Only difference...I don't play metal.

I'm looking for more of an alt OD. Think Death Cab type OD (no, I'm not emo and no, I don't cut myself). My price range is about ~$100.

I liked the way the tube screamer clip on MF sounded with the amp in overdrive, but the clean OD was way too harsh. I want something more smooth than that as a clean boost.

Any chance you can try any out in shops?

I've already looked at the TS9 and the clean boost was too harsh. I'm looking for something a little more smooth. Of course, that was just a clip so I may end up going to GC and trying it out.

Yea, the Maxon 808 or the Ibanez TS808(more expensive) are smooth pedals.
