so, rather than pay the probable extortionate price of zooms non-latching pedal, how hard/easy would it be to make my own. it uses a 1/4 inch jack (mono i would presume, it only supports the one) so it can't be too hard, right?

and if non latching ones are harder to make, would a latching one work? i know i'd have to press it again to turn it off rather than lift my foot off, but its not a huge biggie.

Footswitches are extemely easy to make, non-latching is just as easy as latching. You can buy a non-latching switch then just wire it to a mono jack, and stick it in a container and thats it.

i don't know, hmmm by the sound of it the footswitch is momentary push to break as it says normally CLOSED, i.e press to open. These footswitches are harder to come by in my experience.

EDIT: saying that i've just found this, i think this is what you need http://www.ukdj.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=14433
