Im looking at buying my second guitar. I need help choosing between a few guitars, if you have any other suggestions please make them. Incase your wondering I play metal/shred and would like a fat, bluesy, warm tone from the guitar. the choices:

Ibanez Rg350
Epiphone Les Paul
Epiphone G-400
Fender Mexican Standard Strat HSS
Peavey Rotor EX

I will be switching the pups on these aswell.

like I said any other suggestions are appreciated.

P.S. I would try some ESP/LTDs but the good ones are all out of my price range. And living in the UK theres nowhere for me to try any schecters. And I cant afford any Jacksons either sadly .

My first electric was the RG350, I still have it and it's a pretty sweet guitar. I'd reccomend shopping around and trying out each one for yourself.

the epis are good but shred is hard on an Lp ... imo

I'd go for the G-400, but also take a look at the Epi Korina Flying V and Explorer.

I have an ibanez rg350 dx and it has the perfect tone for metal and shred, I dont know about blues though, I use my other ibanez for that.

if you want oldskool bluesy metal, the les paul should be perfect.

apparantly the ibanez makes more of a jazzy/extreme metal sound. most people associate them with nu-metal styles, etc

I would say the Les Paul, but you shred, and the Les Pauls have quite big frets, and are harder for accessing higher frets (17th fret +), because of the neck joining the body at that point. So either the Ibanez (Nice neck + It has a FR) or the HSS Strat (Very versatile guitar).

I dont really acces anything much above the 18th fret anyway, I generally stay between 10-18. Tone wise it sounds like what im after, but im still considering the Ibanez and the HSS strat.
