ok so, here's what my question is. I have the LINE6 toneport right, and the program it came with (live 4.5) won't let you import audio (i.e. backing tracks etc.) I wanna know what the best program (that is FREE) is to use with backing tracks that doesn't have any lapsing propblems, meaning that the tracks wont be out of synch.

audacity. oh and if you have a mac, then you have garageband.

oh and personally, i don't like audacity, so i usually go the way of piracy

remember. bittorrent is your friend.

I use Adobe audition and its the best out there for home recording IMO.

audition isn't that great actually, it only supposrt real tracks and no midis. I'm not one to promote non government supposrted activities, but look for sonar cakewalk or steinbergs cubase. They are both great programs
