Tune to Drop D, and then turn the tuners until your tuner displays either a Db or C# and so on for each note. That's prbly not the best instruction but, ya know.

To tune to Db, its more complex than just drop D or drop Db. Normally for tuning to drop D, you make the 7th fret on the 6th string have the same pitch as the 5th string open. For this case, you want the 8th fret on the 6th string to be the same as the 5th open.

Once you have your 6th string tuned to Db, lower the rest of the strings so that they are in tune with this lower setting using the standard tuning method of strings being 5 frets apart in pitch.

I Think thats correct


That'd be Drop Db tuning, which is all strings down half step, except the 6th string goes down one and a half steps. Standard Db tuning is each string down a step and a half.
