Does anyone know if the outer connections on the pots have to be connected to the casings?

All my pots are grounded to eachother. The diagrams they gave me are garbage. are they supposed to be connected to the casings or the pot? im not to sure.

Thank you.

I am pretty sure they are supposed to be connected to the casings. I wired some into my ibanez and used the crap diagrams they have and found that not grounding to the casings produces a very annoying hum!

It depends on the setup. The two tone and two volume you should leave all of the grounding tabs. I had a 3 way toggle one volume and one tone. If you look VERY VERY closely you can see that one of their metal tabs that grounds the volume has to be cut. Took me a while to figure that one out because the diagram is total crap. Im almost possitive this is whats happening GL
