I have the Vox AD30VT and that does metal and thrash. Not too sure about deathcore though.

I can get great metal tones on my Vox which in my opinion sound better than the Cube.

I do have quite hot pickups and I replaced the speaker with a G10 Vintage though.

vox is a great amp. you'll need a distortion pedal though. Line 6 is shit. if you play gigs then get the 50. trust me you don't need 100W. thats just stupid. if you buy 100w buy all tube and in the higher price range and make sure your satisfied. otherwords, if you need serious tone, you gotta pay the price and get a tube amp/higher end amp.

i can't believe they have deathcore now...sounds like a secret underground terrorist army.

cube series, by the way.

or i'm sure you could get a used 5150 for your price range.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

I think the Spider III is a great versatile practice amp (5x better than the Spider II), if your just practicing go for it, if your gigging get a tube combo
