is a peavey valveking 100w head (4x12 cab as well) good for steve vai'ish tones? i want to know before i go buy one, il be very upset if its not!

most likely not...but i've not played one. valveking's are meant to be metal amps...i think

The only way to get his tone is use his amp and his pickups.

But to answer your question...the VK isn';t going to get you vai tones.
