wow same here, but my friends are dumbasses who think that guitarists like Steve Vai, Satriani, Petrucci, and Balducci are just robots who have "no feeling". I think they just say that because they know they will never be able to play it, so they stick to shitty thrash like slayer.

Queensryche is amazing. My sister's boyfriend got me Operation: Mindcrime I & II for Xmas and I've loved them ever since.

Please don't tell me I'm the only one that clicked this thread thinking I would learn how to make my guitar sound like a grizzly bear.

The largest Queensryche thread was there. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure they have more in common with DT/80's hair et. al than they do with, o ... say ... Spawn of Possession or Burzum.

I could give a fuck less either way, only good song from Queensryche was Silent Lucidity.

Operation Mindcrime 1 had nothing to do with 80's/shredd etc . It was heavy metal and it wad a preety interesting album.
I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed.

How would you rate Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton as guitarists?

I like them a lot, though their solos don't have a whole lot of variety in them, but they fit the music well.

I got promised land used for $7 the other day, it's a great album.
