My younger brother is looking to upgrade his amp within the next 6 months or so. He play a lot of Beatles, Stones, and stuff like that. He's starting high school next year, and he and some of his friends might start a garage band or something. I know one of his friends likes AC/DC and that type.

Anyway, I said he might wanna look at a Vox Valvetronix combo. Any other suggestions for amps. Also, any pedals he might want to look at for future reference? Right now he has an Epi Casino, and is looking at a Tele for later on.

Whats his price range? The Valvetronix is a good versatile amp, and it should be able to get him what he needs, and if his tastes in music change, the amp will be good for a lot of other styles too.

For what he needs, the bigger Valvetronix combo should be perfect. If theyre going to be playing stuff like AC/DC then itll suit his needs great.

^ Yes. But this kid probably doesnt know all that much about the advantages (or lack thereof) of tube amps. So, something like a Valvetronix would be best for the kid.

Remember kids: Its not necessarily THE BEST AMP YOU CAN GET but the BEST AMP FOR THE SITUATION and FOR THE PERSON.
