Ok i have this guitar (79 MLF) and I am pondering over whether it would require any woodwork if I wanted to fit an Original Floyd Rose. I am not planning to do this job myself but i am just curious to how much work it would require if i got this job done by a pro. Thanks to anyone in advance who helps me out.

You have to make sure that thee size of the strong holders coming out of the back of an OFR would fit in that trem cavity. From that pic it looks like they MIGHT, but htey do stick out a fair bit so.... If it doesn't fit, DON'T get it routed.....its costs lots and is a little pointless.
Why did Pat Metheney cross the road? He didn't, his hair got in the way

Would a closer pic of the cavity help you out?
