I got this bass for free from one of my band members. I thought I might as well take it. Every once in a while I'll play it. The only thing I know about this bass is that it is an Ibanez.

Can anyone help me find out what kinda bass this is (or model)?
BTW, I'm also planning on refinishing with a new paint job, so if anyone that does that kind of stuff and wants to give some tips for someone who is a noob when it comes to refinishing that would be much appreciated!

I'm looking on the site, but I can't find it.

Is the RG series any good?

What do you guys know about refinishing, because I wanna restore this bass.
I've looked at all the tutorials online, but I need something that can teach me stuff from scratch, and something simple. All I am going to do is give it a new paint job.
PLZ someone help.
