Okay, I have a decent guitar which I use for metal and is down-tuned to B.

I also have another guitar tuned to E for general use (my Vox).
But it's really not up to the job - frets worn, etc.

I want a cheap guitar, preferably under £150, which can be used for general rock/pop/blues type stuff, and that I can be rough with and not worry about damage too much.

I know there can be some well made and good value guitars in this price range, but also some pieces of crap.

I don't want a floating trem since I figure cheap ones will be crap. In fact, I don't need a trem at all.
I don't want a guitar which is tied to one particular genre i.e. a spiky metal guitar.
I'm not that fond of strat copies (unless they are super-strats ).

Any ideas?

Hmm, not bad but maybe not sufficiently different to my main guitar.

I wouldn't mind another Ibanez, though.
(Maybe they'll give me a deal one day )

Actually, I love the look of these. I have seen them available for £179 as well:

That one got a pretty damn good review in Guitar Buyer or something not long ago. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: haha it's linked to on that page...but it was a different guitar I think. Not sure
