Ive just dropped a subject to take music and i was told i was going to be auditioning in like 8 months but ive just been told its tomorw instead lol so i realy need to learn a song thts quite impressive not to over the top but sounds and looks good to show technique and stuff so he'll take me into the music course. I dont cant sight read but think id get the hang of it in a few months would this be a big problem in an A level situation?

If genre doesn't matter, Damage Control, by John Petrucci, is very impressive and not too difficult(except for the solo). If you need a Jazz peice, Meditation, by Jobim is easy and nice to solo over.

Everytime I go into the guitar shop and ask for a G-String the shopkeeper always makes that TERRIBLE joke about it not being an underwear shop

So next time I go in I'm gonna ask for a thong

Agreed.

Though learning Damage Control in one day won't be easy.
