Im thinking of getting Dimarzio evo pups for my Ibanez, but a lot of people on these forums are sayng that if you get them and your not good you'll sound like Sh**. What do they mean? Is it just that the pickup clarity is very good and you'll just here more of your mistakes or what?

Im planning on buying them tomorrow so I need some help. Thanks.

maybe you could buy a picture of one for 600, and just pretend for awhile...

Evos are EXTREMELY hot, almost to the point of being active. Even if you barely slide your finger over the string, you will hear it. However, this should not deter you from buying them.

Evos are awesome pickups, they sound great. That and their sensitivity are two great reasons to buy them. If you play like shit, you will sound like shit. So you have to play well. I am a far more articulate player now that I use a bridge Evolution, because I have to be.

I have DiMarzio's (don't know what kind though as I bought it used and there is no support site given that the guitar was built in 1991 and that was the last year they were made) and they are a to the w to the e.... you get the general idea
